The Dallas collectibles market is unique. We have strong communities for Pokémon, Magic, sports memorabilia, and comics. What sells well in California or New York might not move here, and vice versa.
We attend DFW conventions (Comic-Con, card shows, gaming events) and know what local collectors are buying. Texas collectors often prefer certain items - for example, Cowboys memorabilia obviously moves well, but so do certain types of Pokémon cards and Magic formats popular in our local gaming scene.
Take clear photos of your collectibles from multiple angles. Include pictures of:
✓ Front and back of cards
✓ Any signatures or autographs
✓ Serial numbers or holograms
✓ Damage or wear areas
✓ Authentication certificates
Text your photos and we'll respond quickly with a free appraisal. Mention what type of collectibles you have and any questions about value or authenticity.
We've purchased several high-end items: A PSA 10 First Edition Shadowless Charizard ($15,000), a Black Lotus Magic card ($8,500), and a complete set of 1999 Pokémon Base Set ($12,000). But we buy items at all price levels - from $20 singles to five-figure collections.
Look for the "Edition 1" symbol on the left side of the card (below the bottom left corner of the picture). Shadowless cards (no shadow behind the picture border) are even rarer. First edition Base Set cards are the most valuable. Text us photos at 972-573-4990 and we'll identify exactly what you have.
The "Power Nine" from Alpha/Beta (Black Lotus, Moxen, etc.), Reserved List cards (cards Wizards promised never to reprint), and certain modern staples. Condition matters immensely - a heavily played Black Lotus might be $5,000 while a mint one could be $50,000. We can grade your cards and give accurate valuations.
Both! Sealed booster boxes, theme decks, collector boxes, and sealed product from any era. Sealed Pokémon Base Set booster packs, Magic booster boxes from the 90s, unopened sports card boxes - these can be very valuable. Don't open them thinking you'll hit a big card - often the sealed product is worth more unopened.
We examine signatures for consistency with known authentic examples, check materials (jersey fabrics, stitching patterns), verify holograms on certificates, and use black lights to detect restoration. For high-value items, we work with professional authenticators. We'll tell you if your item needs professional authentication or if we're confident it's real.
For cards: creases, heavy edge wear, water damage, and trimming. For autographs: fading, smudging, or being signed in the wrong place. For memorabilia: stains, tears, missing pieces, and improper storage damage. A single crease can reduce a card's value by 80%. Always store collectibles properly to preserve value.
Only for high-value items in excellent condition. Grading costs $15-100 per item and takes months. For cards worth $200+ in raw condition, grading might make sense. For most items, it's better to sell raw to us. We'll give you honest advice about whether grading would increase your item's value enough to justify the cost and wait.
Absolutely! We specialize in buying entire collections. Whether it's a childhood Pokémon collection, a lifetime of sports memorabilia, or a Magic card collection - we'll inventory everything and make one fair offer. This is often easier and faster than selling items individually, especially for estates.
Cards: Penny sleeves + top loaders, stored vertically in card boxes. Never use rubber bands or tape. Autographs: Away from direct sunlight, in stable temperature/humidity. Jerseys: On padded hangers or acid-free boxes, never folded over signatures. Toys/figures: Original packaging is best, avoid attics/garages due to temperature swings.
Markets fluctuate constantly. Pokémon spiked during COVID, then corrected. Magic cards rise and fall with tournament formats. Sports memorabilia values change with player performance and retirement. We track these trends daily and give you current market valuations, not outdated prices from years ago.
